PORTABLE 12V BATTERY CHARGER
The screen shows three kinds of information — understand these and you'll rarely have a question again.
Voltage display. The screen shows the voltage first, and you'll see it in two different states: with only the battery connected and no external input, it shows the battery's own voltage; once you connect an external power source, you'll notice the number clearly goes up — that's the charging voltage. For a 12V battery, the charging voltage has to be higher than the battery's own voltage before charging can happen. This is normal — no need to worry. The device automatically adjusts the charging voltage based on the battery's charge level.
IN / OUT indicator. IN means the battery is being charged; OUT means the battery is discharging in reverse (powering an external device). You can switch between IN and OUT by pressing the lit button in the middle.
Battery fault light. When the battery fault light (red) in the bottom row comes on, it means the battery is abnormal and needs checking. This usually appears when the voltage drops below 9V.
